Mum

Features: Mum is defined by an architectural and compact formal language, characterized by solid volumes and clearly defined surfaces. The armchair is conceived as a monolithic block, carved at the base with arched openings that visually lighten the mass and create a balance between solids and voids. Its low and generous proportions convey a grounded and stable presence, while the base design reinforces structural continuity and visual solidity. The cushion backrest, designed as an independent element, rests against the main structure with a carefully studied inclination to ensure comfort and support. This creates a contrast between the rigidity of the base and the softness of the cushioning. The upholstery, uniform and continuous, enhances the three-dimensionality of the volume and the material quality of the surface, emphasizing the relation­ship between light and form. The armchair rests directly on the floor through an integrated structural base. The cover is completely removable, except for leather upholstery.

Frame: Frame made of solid wood and plywood, padded with non-deformable expanded polyurethane foam in differentiated densities and springs with interwoven elastic belts. Pre-cover in cotton fabric coupled with polyester fiber. 

Cushion Padding: Backrest cushion made of polyester fibre, divided into sections to keep cushion uniformity. Under-covering in cotton canvas.
